FUE (follicular unit extraction)

FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) is a method of removing hair follicles from the donor area (the back and sides of the scalp where hair does not fall out during the patient’s lifetime). This is a seamless hair restoration method that uses a special micro punch to remove hair follicles from the back of the head under local anesthesia and transplant them to the bald area. On the day of surgery, shorten the entire donor area from the occiput to a length of 1 to 2 mm.

Follicular unit extraction (FUE) is a type of hair transplantation in which individual hair follicles are removed from the skin and transplanted to another area of the body where hair is thinning or falling out.FUE is more popular than Follicular Unit Transplant (FUT) surgery, which resulted in a “hair plug” appearance.

FUT (follicular unit transplantation)

In this transplantation method, a strip of skin is removed from the back of the head under local anesthesia and divided into follicular units or grafts. These grafts are then implanted elsewhere, usually in the front of the head. The removed parts will be stitched together.For this reason, this surgery is also called strip surgery. It was called the gold standard because it was the first practical method of hair transplantation.

  Direct Hair Transplanting (DHI)

This is the most advanced hair transplant procedure. In this procedure, your doctor uses a special pen-like instrument called a Choi Implanter Pen to implant hair follicles directly into the transplant area. Choi is less than 1 mm in diameter and can harvest hair follicles from the donor site. Additionally, there is no need to drill into the receiving area to transplant the hair follicles.
